- Mirante conducts topographic, aerial photogrammetric, and LiDAR surveys to support geometric design projects, mining advance studies, mapping of areas subject to environmental protection (APPs), and land use and land cover analyses.
- We deliver Digital Terrain Models (DTMs), Digital Surface Models (DSMs), and cartographic basemaps that are technically traceable and compatible with the leading land management systems used in the industry.
Geometric monitoring of engineering projects and geotechnical structures is one of the most critical aspects of mining operations.
- We perform topographic surveys for capital projects, civil engineering and assembly work, monitoring of mining progress, as-built surveys of excavations and slopes, measurement of stockpile volumes, and monitoring of tailings disposal in dams and stockpiles.
- We also cross-check the measurements provided by contractors, thereby reducing contractual disputes and ensuring that the amounts paid reflect the work actually performed.
- For geotechnical structures subject to regulatory oversight, we maintain traceable records that comply with ANM requirements.
Industrial equipment and structures undergo wear and tear over time. Identifying this wear and tear in a controlled manner, before it leads to an operational failure, is part of responsible asset management.
- Mirante performs dimensional inspections of equipment and structures, as well as wear inspections and alignment and leveling of overhead cranes and crane runways. The result is predictability for maintenance planning and a reduction in unscheduled downtime.
- For decisions involving long-term planning, Mirante provides engineering and mining advance studies and geometric designs, topobathymetric surveys for calculating the service life of dams and reservoirs, dam break studies, and cartographic bases for integrated land management.
- We also conduct mapping of APP areas, legal reserves, and consolidated-use areas, with technical rigor and in compliance with current regulatory requirements.
