Aerial Magnetometry with drones (known as MagDrone) is a geophysical method for identifying and classifying magnetic anomalies in the ground, making it possible to locate mineral deposits and geological structures such as faults and shear zones.
The method uses sensitive devices that map variations in the Earth’s magnetic field over the area studied. The evolution of technology has made MagDrone more accessible and effective than ever, bringing concrete data to geophysical and mining studies.
Accuracy and detail: The technology allows for the detection of magnetic anomalies, providing precise data on the subsoil and allowing for a clear visualization of the mineral potential of the site.
Access to Inaccessible Regions: Drones make it possible to quickly survey large areas that are remote or difficult to access, such as dense forests and rugged terrain.
Scope and Productivity: As it is a non-invasive aerial method, the speed of the survey makes it possible to collect data from large areas in a short time.
Operational Safety: Surveying with drones offers a higher level of safety for the team, eliminating the risks associated with ground-based methods.
Reduced environmental impact: The aerial approach significantly reduces the environmental impact compared to terrestrial methods, with no need for vegetation suppression, openings of boreholes and the use of invasive surveys.
